Last Saturday I went to see the movie called "The Greatest Showman". It was absolutely fantastic. It was so good I actually went and saw it again the very next day, and then saw it again a few days later!
If you have not seen it, I highly recommend it as it is definitely a movie that needs to be seen on the big screen.
The genre is similar to my other two favorite movies, Les Miserables and Moulin Rouge. It is visually stunning, has lovely costumes, great music, singing, and of course, fabulous choreography. Best of all, it actually has a great story!
(My kids want to see it again, so maybe sometime this week we will see it again.)
My husband always buys flowers for our anniversary and the cats seem to enjoy them as well.
Mr Nova loves to admire them up close. (I have to watch him like a hawk otherwise he will knock them over and try to eat them.)
Most normal people keep their flowers on the kitchen table but mine have to live in my office to keep them safe from the beasts!
(Go see "The Greatest Showman" before it disappears from the theatres.)
Cheerio,
Sam
I saw and loved this movie too. I agree its very much in the style of Moulin Rouge. :)
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you liked it too!
DeleteI took my Mum to see it and she even liked it. And she is a hard woman to please! Lol
DeleteI forgot to say happy anniversary before! Your cat is adorable. We had a German Shepherd who used to love to smell any flowers he came across in his travels. It was always hilarious to see this big tough looking guard dog be such a big marshmallow softy. :)
Every time he did it I called him Ferdinand after the flower sniffing Bull. :D
Thanks Sam. I wish I could take my Mum to the movies, she would love this one but she is all the way over there in Australia!
DeleteYour German Shepherd sounds adorable!
I love it when a movie strikes a chord enough that you want to see it again and again! Sounds like a great date night with my hubs - he loves a good musical, too!
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary! It's sweet that he gives you such beautiful flowers! <3
I love to see fur babies enjoying the beauty and wonders in life. They are so much more than simple animals.
Thanks Jodi, and yes, it would be a great date night movie!
DeleteHi Sam!
ReplyDeleteSeen it already!! Loved it and will buy the DVD when it's released. We also went to see The Shape of Water, not for the kids, quite unusual, but a wonderful movie all the same. :) Want to see Phantom Thread and of course Peter Rabbit as soon as it's released downunder, the shorts were fab.
Happy Anniversary, hugs to hubby for being such a sweetie (I love men that buy flowers). That last photo of Mr.Nova is just darling. :)
Big hugs,
X
Aww, thanks! My hubby IS a real sweetheart.
DeleteI am so glad you have seen the movie. I also am planning on seeing some of the ones you have mentioned even though I have not seen the advertisements for them. (I NEVER watch the shorts, I close my eyes and block my ears. I only want to see the movie when I am actually watching it.)
I forgot to mention Sam, it was the first time in a long, long time that I heard people clap at the end of the movie.
ReplyDeleteYes, the audience clapped here as well!
DeleteHello Sam,
ReplyDeleteThank you for suggesting the movie, and happy anniversary.
Big hug
Giac
You are welcome and thanks!
DeleteYes, we saw it too when my oldest daughter was home from college. Youngest daughter was the surprise though as she usually doesn't like musicals. She loved this one though! She is always playing the soundtrack from the movie now! We will definitely get this when it comes out on Blue Ray!
ReplyDeleteI will be definitely getting the Blue Ray when it comes out as well! I still need to buy the soundtrack. I love the music.
DeletePS -- Happy Anniversary!
ReplyDeleteMy son and his wife saw it at the weekend and said it was great! It has been showing in our local cinema recently, so maybe if it is still on next week, we may go and see it. Thank you for your recommendation.
ReplyDeleteI love your cat photos, he looks very intent on sniffing those pretty blooms :)
xx
Hopefully it will still be at the cinema for you to see it.
DeleteThanks for the compliment. (Nova gets into everything!)
Great to hear you're enjoying this movie so much... and what a beautiful flower bouquet. But looking at him posing next to the wonderful flowers makes me wonder whether Mr. Nova might indeed be the greatest showman... well... at least the greatest showcat... ;O) Best wishes for your anniversary!
ReplyDeleteHugs
Birgit
Oh Birgit, thank you. The Greatest Showcat - I love it! Yes, that is who Mr Nova is!
