Well, I am still messing with Hazel's house.
I thought that some of the front panels were too thick, so I carved away some of the foil and styrofoam, and I have been covering the structure with newspaper.
You know, for every step I take forward, I always seem to take half a dozen steps back.
No wonder it takes me forever to get any crafting done!
Suddenly, I noticed a claw waving from the upper window.
Who is that?
It is my Nova. He really enjoys being up high, and the third story on this house fits him perfectly.
Cheerio,
Sam
Hi Sam! I like the way Hazel's house is progressing. I was reviewing your earlier posts to see how you have built up the exterior and I must say that it all looks really good and I am going to have to flag your styrofoam and tinfoil method for future reference.
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile, what a mischievous feline you have currently occupying this fine establishment. Seeing that paw and then that pretty little face in the 2nd storey window makes me think that someone is already settling in nicely and it ISN'T Hazel! ;D
elizabeth
Thanks Elizabeth. I am not entirely sure how this house is going to turn out but it is fun making it! And yes, Mr Nova LOVES the dollhouses, and the higher ones are even better!
DeleteIt is always the steps back that take the wind out of my sails for a time. But the vision must go on! I love the shape it is taking, made that much more interesting by Nova! What a character! I showed this post to my husband and son, and let me tell you belly laughs were had by all! :O)
ReplyDeleteWishing you many easy steps forward...
Thanks Jodi. Oh, I am so happy that my cat made you guys laugh. Nova is such a character for sure!
DeleteOne thing is for sure: The trusted building inspector Mr. Nova proved this construction to be solid and stable... ;O)
ReplyDeleteHugs
Birgit
Hi Birgit, yes Mr Nova does his job extremely well!
DeleteHello Sam,
ReplyDeleteIt is really coming along beautifully. In it's unfinished state it reminds me of Gaudi's work. I am glad that Nova approves ;)
Big hug
Giac
Thanks Giac. I had to look up who Gaudi was, and I realized that I had learned about his work millions of years ago but had obviously forgotten about it. Very interesting. The weird thing is, I think I would like to go and visit Barcelona now and look at his works in person!
DeleteWow, this house is huge! Can't wait to see it finished. The texture you are adding to it is very interesting and I am looking forward to seeing how it will look in the end. I am laughing at Nova just lounging up in the 3rd floor! Looks like he is ready to sign a rental agreement!
ReplyDeleteThanks Phyllis, this house IS huge! I cannot wait until it is finished either. It just needs lots of time and many more mistakes before the end!
DeleteOh Mr. Nova you are a cheeky little puss! You remind me of my hubby, he can sleep anywhere at anytime too!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos Sam. :)
Hugs,
X
Thanks Xanadu. Nova sleeps literally anywhere and anytime he pleases. (Must be a manly thing!)
DeleteHaha.. I love that Nova has claimed this house. Good luck getting Hazel moved in now!
ReplyDeleteHi Sam, I think you are right!
