When Thumbkin Met Stanley

Let's just say that these two were never meant to meet!

Thumbkin got to experience Stanley's point.

Fortunately it was only a minor fight. No major damage.
A bit of antiseptic, a bandaid and all is well.
Thumbkin now has a very healthy respect for Stanley.
Cheerio,
Sam

  1. I'm so glad there was no major damage! It is so easy to forget how hard we are pushing with those sharp tools! Hands belong behind the blade! (Been there, learned that!) :)

    1. Thanks. There is nothing like being stabbed by our tools to give them healthy respect!

  2. Ouch! Stanley needs to be much less aggressive. Hope you heal up soon!

  3. It's in these times that we become aware and are grateful for the body's healing power! And that we become more cautious and mindful of our methods to employ certain tools! The one I seem to stab myself with on a regular basis, believe it or not, is my fine pointed and extremely sharp tweezers! Hope it heals up quick before wet bandages become too frustrating!

    1. I agree completely - our bodies are totally amazing. Yeah, it was only a little flesh wound and will heal quickly. Thanks.

  4. Stanley can really be a pain in the thumbkin sometimes . . . you will have to be a little more careful in future Sam, still it could have been much worse . . . you could have sat on Stanley then it would have been a real pain in the bumkin!! LOL! Sorry, I couldn't help myself.

Big hugs and kisses to make it better,
    X

  5. Okay, Stanley... listen! You earned yourself so many bad points in Santa's Golden Book now that there's not much hope left for you to get new blades at Christmas. No, don't you start to argue… this was too much and a nice knife shouldn't behave like this. Eh... ooops… I fear I'm a little too used to threaten naughty bearies with Santa's Golden Book *grin*… I'm very happy that the "meeting" of Stanley with Thumbkin caused no major damage and nothing that couldn't be fixed with a helpful band aid.

    Hugs
    Birgit
